Public Sauna Basics

A few basics to consider when designing a public sauna build

• Lots of drainage

• Ample ventilation

• Benches up high

• Strong heat

• Rocks for making steam

• Place to relax and chill between rounds

• Facilities for bathing. Sauna is, after all, the Finnish hot air, steam bath.

These should be in every public sauna. There are so many mobile sauna rentals today that are missing one, and sometimes many, of these basics.
